The University Grants Commission (UGC) has launched a scheme on skills development based higher education as part of college / University education, leading to Bachelor of Vocation/Master of Vocation (B.VOC /M.VOC) degree with multiple exits such as Advanced diploma, diploma and certificate. The school of vocational studies at Nirwan University Jaipur aims to provide real time hands on training to the students in the new and emerging area’s to make them globally employable. It also offers support to the trainees to start their own startups through incubation and innovation facilities.


Presently Nirwan University Jaipur and Vincenzo Solutions Private Limited, Jaipur (Startup incubated at MIIC, MNIT Jaipur) is offering Basic Certificate, Intermediate Certificate and Skill Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning & 3D Printing Technologies.

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning:


Machine Learning and AI (artificial intelligence) course for young minds is a program that teaches the Machine Learning and AI (artificial intelligence) tools that can be used for building intelligent machines.


Machine Learning is the science of computers learning to act without being explicitly programmed. For example, a self-driving vehicle can learn how the human driver is driving and then drive just like him/ her. When the kids of today become the youth of tomorrow, there is a high probability of there being no field left untouched by Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI). All of which makes it very important for us to ensure that our kids are well versed in both Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. Machine learning has been essential to the success of many recent technologies, including autonomous vehicles, search engines, genomics, automated medical diagnosis, image recognition, and social network analysis, among many others.

About 3D printing Technology:

3D Printing is a process of converting digital files into three dimensional solid objects. The 3D printer stacks thin layers of materials one above another to make solid objects – since it involves adding layers, 3D printing is also called additive manufacturing. 3D Printing helps engineers not only to make the final product but also optimize the quality of prototypes of products that have to be manufactured in the traditional way at factories.
Scope of 3D printing is very broad. Today 3D printing is being used in almost every industry involved in the manufacturing of the products. Also, it is being used in designing industries for creating design and prototypes. 3D printing is also used in the colleges and universities for learning and teaching in better ways.

Course Detail:

 This course is broadly divide into three modules

A candidate can exit after completion of Module 1 or Module 2, he/she will get certificate after each module.
Course will run 02 day in a week

BASIC CERTIFICATE COURSE IN 3D PRINTING TECHNOLOGY

Module I (Basic course)
Introduction to Conceptual Design on Modeling tools
This course is an introduction to the new designing techniques and capabilities of modeling using the 2D and 3D modelling software. Topics include the integration of advance parametric solid modeling drawing tools using modeling software.

Introduction to Rapid Prototyping

Introduction to Prototyping, Traditional Prototyping Vs. Rapid Prototyping (RP), discovering to 3D printing, History of 3D printing technology
Data Formats for 3D printing technology: Tessellated Models, STL Format, STL File Problems, STL File Manipulation and Repair Algorithms, AMF files, 3MF, XML, Meta Data, PLY, STEP for AM Application Protocols (AP).
Data Processing for 3D printing technology : Part Orientation and Support Structure Generation, Model Slicing and Contour Data Organization, Direct and Adaptive Slicing, Hatching Strategies and Tool Path Generation

ADVANCE CERTIFICATE COURSE IN 3D PRINTING TECHNOLOGY

Vat Photopolymerization (Stereolithography (SL), Materials, SL resin curing process) Extrusion-Based Processes (Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM), Principles, Materials, Process Modelling, Plotting and path control, Bio-Extrusion, Contour Crafting, Process Benefits and Drawbacks)
Sheet Lamination Processes (Materials, Laminated Object Manufacturing (LOM), Ultrasonic Consolidation (UC), Gluing, Thermal bonding)

Powder Bed Fusion Processes (Selective laser Sintering (SLS), Electron Beam melting (EBM), Process Benefits and Drawbacks, Applications of Powder Bed Fusion Processes)

Materials for AM: Atomic Structure and Bonding, Nature of Polymers, Thermoplastics and Thermosetting Polymers, Types of Polymerizations, Properties of Polymers, Degradation of Polymers, Metal and Ceramic Powders, Compaction and Sintering of Powders, Composites, Functionally Graded Materials (FGM’s).

Post Processing of AM Parts: Support Material Removal, Surface Texture Improvement, Accuracy Improvement, Aesthetic Improvement, Preparation for use as a Pattern, Property Enhancements using Non-thermal and Thermal Techniques

DIPLOMA COURSE IN 3D PRINTING TECHNOLOGY

Module III (Advanced course)

Materials science for AM - Multifunctional and graded materials in AM, Role of solidification rate, Evolution of non-equilibrium structure, microstructural studies, Structure property relationship
Errors in RP Processes: Pre-processing, processing, post-processing errors, Part building errors
Various parts (Hardware) used for development of 3d Printer

Materials used for FDM process and Filament development techniques, Development of Filament using twin screw extruder
Development of components using 3d printer and evaluating the quality of the fabricated part in terms of surface finish and dimensional accuracy.
Case Studies: Extensive list of case studies on how 3D Printing is helping various industries.
Project: Student has to complete a Major Project to get Diploma.
