On 16th September 2024, the Quiz Competition was held at Swami Vivekananda Seminar Hall, NUJ
to commemorate the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer. This event was
organized with the objective of raising awareness about the crucial role of the ozone layer in
protecting life on Earth and the global initiatives aimed at preventing its depletion. Participants,
representing various academic disciplines, engaged in a challenging quiz that tested their knowledge
on a range of topics related to ozone protection, environmental issues, and sustainability. The
interactive format of the quiz, which included multiple-choice questions, provided an engaging
platform for students to demonstrate their understanding and commitment to environmental
conservation.
The competition culminated in a prize distribution ceremony, where Kalpana Sharma (B.Sc. [Ag.] V
Sem) was awarded first place, Birendra Gujjar (DRT I Sem) received second place, and Gayatri
Meena (B.Sc. [Ag.] V Sem) earned third place. The event was met with positive feedback from both
participants and organizers, who appreciated the educational impact and the opportunity to discuss and
reflect on important environmental issues. Overall, the quiz competition successfully highlighted the
significance of the ozone layer and encouraged participants to take proactive steps in supporting
environmental protection efforts.
