From Director Research

It is a great pleasure and honor for me to serve as the Director Research of Nirwan University.

The Nirwan University was established in 2017 to provide a significant niche for social welfare and education research. The institution is committed to create an ambience for nurturing innovation, creativity and excellence within its students. We at Nirwan University strongly support interdisciplinary research development for the benefits of industry and society we emphasize on developing all around leadership skills. I pray to God for a bright future of all research scholars who have enrolled in Nirwan University Jaipur.

Nirwan University Jaipur Ph.D. Programme Steps To Follow

Step 1

Appear for Nirwan University Research Entrance Test (NURET) or Submit your Entrance Test Score of UGC-NET (including JRF) CSIR/ ICMR/ GATE, cleared within the last 2 years.

Step 2

Presentation & Discussion on your research interest followed by Personal Interview with the panel

Step 3

Entrance Exam Result will be notified on University Website

Step 4

Qualified candidates will be intimated through mail to offer the admission

Step 5

Confirmation of the Candidate Registration after depositing Enrolment fee and required Academic documents (Now called the Research Scholar)

Step 6

Notification by the University about the commencement of scheduled Course Work classes after depositing the course work fee and semester tuition fee

Step 7

Course Work exams and declaration of result notified by University

Step 8

Allotment of Supervisor on the recommendation of Research Board

Step 9

Research Scholar to submit the his/her research plan (synopsis) to Research cell after the recommendation by University Research Committee (URC)

Step 10

Monitoring of Research Scholar progress report by URC in every semester

Step 11

Publication/Conferences/Seminars participation must be done as per UGC guidelines

Step 12

Pre-Submission of Thesis after the 33 months of Ph.D. registration

Step 13

Final submission of Thesis to research cell after the recommendation of URC

Step 14

Ph.D. Viva Voce examination after successful approval by three examiners

Step 15

Award of Ph.D. Degree on successful performance in Ph.D. Viva Voce

Eligibility

Qualification: As per UGC regulations.

Duration

Minimum 3 years and maximum 6 years from the date of commencement of the session.

Admissions

Nirwan University Research Entrance Test (NURET): Admissions will be done based on the marks obtained in the NURET and Personal Interview.
Note:The candidates who have cleared NET/GATE/CEED or any similar national-level test are exempted from the entrance examination.
Personal Interview:Candidates who have secured 50% in the NURET will be called for a personal interview.
Note: A relaxation of 5% marks will be allowed in NURET for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/differently-abled category, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the UGC from time to time.

Final Selection:Based on the marks obtained in the NURET and Personal Interview, University will decide on the eligible candidates.

Research Groups:

Research in NUJ is organised around Research Groups. These groups bring together Faculty staff and research students with similar interests to focus on particular areas of their research, develop projects, undertake joint activities, and share expertise.

Material Science Group

We are working on state-of-the-art materials to study their fundamental physical properties including their structural, mechanical, thermodynamical, electronic, optical, thermoelectric properties, etc.

The area of interest of our research group are:

Half-Heusler compounds
Perovskites (Inorganic, hybrid, double, anti, and double anti perovskite) compounds
Chalcopyrite compounds

These materials exhibit potential candidature for renewable energy applications including photovoltaic and high figure-of-merit thermoelectric devices.

Career Paths

Upon the completion of their Ph.D. work at NUJ, scholars have proceeded to pursue successful careers in the teaching profession, earning national and international support in the form of different Fellowships and post-doctoral positions at Indian and overseas institutions.

Currently, NUJ Ph.D. scholars are working at prestigious universities in India as well as abroad.
