About Us

The Nirwan University Jaipur is established by act, No. 2 of 2017 of Government of Rajasthan. It is a multi disciplinary University, with jurisdiction spread over the state of Rajasthan. With the objectives to disseminate and advanced knowledge by offering teaching and research facilities, to make provisions for studies at Undergraduate, Post Graduate and Integrated Courses / levels in Engineering and Technology, Science, Management, Commerce, Humanities, Social Science, Fine Arts, Library & Information Science, Computer Science & Application, Hotel Management, Fire and Safety Management, Yoga and Naturopathy, Agriculture, Horticulture, Health and Allied Medical Science and many more courses in pipeline with the intent to promote interdisciplinary studies and research.

The Government of Rajasthan allotted 60 seats to School of Agricultural Sciences, Nirwan University Jaipur, through Joint Entrance Test (JET). The programme B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Sc. (Hons.) a four year degree programme comprising of eight semesters, was started in the session 2020-21. All the academic parameters were adopted as per ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research), New Delhi. Curriculum adopted is as per recommendations of 5th and 6th Dean’s Committee of ICAR, which appeared in July 2016 and September 2024 respectively for implementation across all the state agricultural universities of the country.

The curriculum is designed to develop skills and entrepreneurship in a student to ensure depth in the area of specialization together with breadth of exposure for intellectual enrichment, to prepare the students for higher level of research and development for a career in national laboratories, Universities and industries.

To be a center of excellence in sustainable agriculture, environmental conservation, and community development, and to be recognized nationally and internationally for our contributions to the field of agriculture.

Mission

To establish a strong foundation in the fundamentals linking knowledge and skills through experiential learning.

To develop a system of excellence in pedagogy for teaching, research and fieldwork training opportunities to students in order to bring improvements in the agricultural sector.

To empower its diverse faculty and staff to innovate, discover, and push the frontiers of knowledge to address critical education and research needs of modern society.

To equip students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to become leaders in the agricultural industry.

To promote sustainable agriculture practices, environmental conservation, and community development through research, education, and outreach.

Welcome to the School of Agriculture, Nirwan University!

In our School, world-class faculty mentor the next generation of engineering and science leaders. As a school in a student-centered research university, our strong research portfolio sets us apart from traditional liberal arts colleges. In contrast, our liberal arts-based engineering education makes us unique among major research universities in the country.

Our students bring forward ideas confidently in the lab, the classroom, and beyond. Their contributions are invaluable to the strength of our research, instruction, and community. Along with rising rankings, the University is building on our reputation of providing a great education through collaborative faculty research, experiential learning, a growing alumni network, and innovative Senior Design projects. From miniature medical device technologies to blasting off into the ionosphere or taking care of our planet here at home, Temple engineers truly are the architects of the future.

Remarkable things go on daily in and around our building on Norris Street. The world outside will always demand more engineers, and we will continue to ensure that our Owls can not only step into that world, but lead it.
