The BLIS Programme aims to develop the understanding and competencies required by librarians and library professionals for effective librarianship at the basic and higher level. This programme prepares library professionals to understand the technical and basic work in libraries and to provide the best LIS services to society.
Also to learn the various methodologies and technologies of librarianship, the course structure combined with theoretical and rigorous practice Library and Information Science which prepares librarians or library professional trainees to become the skilled LIS professional and the ability to deal with students/ users to provide library and information services in the society.

Domain knowledge: Students will attain knowledge and applications in the field of Library and Information Science.
Problem Analysis: Ability to design or develop the model for students to deal with day-to-day activities, sequencing, arrangement of books etc.
Effective Communication: Speak, read, write and listen clearly in person and through electronic media in Hindi and English, and make meaning of the world by connecting people, ideas, books, media and technology.
